Splash of soy sauce (optional)

Step 1. Boil water for pasta and season with salt
Step 2. Heat the oil in a large heavy-based saucepan or stockpot over medium heat. Cook the onion, and garlic until fragrant. Add mince, using a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, cook for 5 mins or until browned. Next add carrot and broccoli and cook for 5 mins or until vegetables have softened.
Step 3. Once Water is boiling add pasta and cook for 10 – 15 minutes or until softened.
Step 4. Back to spag sauce – Add the tomato, stock, mixed herbs and soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
Step 5. Divide the spaghetti among bowls. Top with the bolognese sauce. Scatter over the cheese to serve
Recipes don’t need to be followed exact, it’s best when you change some flavours to suit your taste buds. So add more or less of ingredients that you prefer.
